Treaties signed between the Cherokee nation and the United States of America

1.  The Treaty of Hopewell, signed 28 November 1785

2.  The Treaty of Cherokee Agency, signed 8 July 1817.

3.  The Treaty of New Echota, signed 29 December 1835.

* these three treaties represent only a small fraction of the total number signed between the Cherokee nation and the United States.   These three particular treaties were chosen because of their potent significance and influence.
